We are looking for Principal and Senior Electrical Engineers to work as members of a multidisciplinary team on the design and specification of bespoke electrical supply and control systems for the defence and nuclear industries
The work of the Principal Electrical Engineer will also involve developing designs from concept to system commissioning and meeting customer requirements, codes, statutes and directives
The principal engineer will work as a key member of a multidisciplinary team including other professional engineers and may plan, assign, review and approve the work of these technical staff. A proactive and flexible attitude is essential for this role. Close contact and liaison with customers and suppliers will often be required.

You would be expected to perform work involving considerable independence in approach, demanding originality, ingenuity and judgement and make technical decisions and determine courses of action necessary to expedite accomplishment of projects.
The work of the Senior Electrical Engineer will also involve turning concept designs into safe, practical and reliable equipment and meeting project requirements, codes, statutes and directives
Senior Engineer's would be expected to perform duties requiring the application of mature professional engineering knowledge to enhance and develop a design introducing a greater level of detail. The individual will co-ordinate activities on more complex assignments and handle the resolution of problems, drawing on practical experience or devising an innovative approach. The senior engineer will work without detailed supervision when undertaking responsible engineering assignments.
The senior engineer will work as a member of a multidisciplinary team including other professional engineers and may plan, assign, review and check the work of these technical staff. A drive and enthusiasm to see things through and achieve results is essential for this role. Contact and liaison with customers and suppliers will often be required.
All engineers would be required to plan and conduct engineering work with limited supervision and accept guidance on the approach to be taken. More senior staff would endorse major decisions. The range of tasks and projects an engineer may be involved in will be diverse.
