We are looking for Principal and Senior ARM Engineers and Safety Engineers to provide ARM technical support and costing to bid teams for a company involved in bespoke mechanical handling equipment for the defence, aerospace, nuclear and allied industries
The ARM engineer should be either Chartered or Incorporated Engineer in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering and should have Detailed experience of ARM analysis in the defence, aerospace, nuclear and allied industries.Principal engineers will be expected to have experience of working in a mix of these areas.
Experience of working with International, European and UK standards is essential. Examples of the area of expertise expected are:
* ARM Programme Plans * Integration of ARM in Design, ARM Design Criteria *Analysis of Operating & Environmental Conditions *ARM Trade Off Studies *Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis *Fault Tree Analysis, including CMF and CCF analysis *Reliability Predictions *Reliability and Functional Block Diagrams *System Availability Modelling *Maintainability Predictions *Reliability-Centred Maintenance *Spares Ranging and Scaling *Maintenance Task Analysis *Level of Repair Analysis *Technical Publications
All ARM engineers will be expected to have a sound awareness of the commercial aspects of ARM together with good customer interfacing skill and abilities. Good communication skills are essential in order to relate ARM issues to a range of different skill sets and levels.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager the ARM engineers day to day duties will include:
*Providing ARM analysis and support to the engineering process for future and existing projects * Meeting Company Quality standards and project budgets and programmes *Contributing to the further development and improvement of the companys design and analysis techniques and integration of ARM with related system engineering disciplines.
Engineers would be required to plan and conduct engineering work with limited supervision and accept guidance on the approach to be taken. More senior staff would endorse major decisions. The range of tasks and projects an engineer may be involved in will be diverse.
