Reed Energy is currently looking to recruit a HVAC Lead/Manager for one of our biggest clients based in Bristol.
The HVAC function in Bristol is a new discipline and as such the Discipline Lead will be set the challenge of building the business.
The candidate will be expected to act as Technical Discipline Lead and line manager for their respective discipline in the Bristol Office.
The successful applicant must have the experience required to lead a team of engineers within a design house and as such have a wide range of experience to allow guidance and give direction to those within the team.
You will be expected demonstrate adequate line management and leadership abilities to manage the team and grow them, not only in numbers but also technically such as mentoring for Chartered Engineering status.
The desirable qualities of the successful candidate are experience of a range of design projects in the nuclear industry (candidates from other technical backgrounds will be considered however HVAC knowledge of the nuclear industry is a must). Also small scale project management and bidding experience would be beneficial.
Candidates should be of a design background not site / field based although site / field experience may be considered beneficial.
All roles are based Bristol but long term secondments to site are considered to be part of the role (Somerset & Gloucester area). Due to the set up of this business unit, candidates should live or expect to relocate to between, Cardiff, Gloucester, Swindon and Taunton.
All successful candidates should be able to achieve SC Level security clearance (or preferably hold it already) and be a British national (not dual nationality).
Qualifications:
BEng / BSc or above
Chartered Engineer to a relevant institute.
