We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer to work on major projects from assessment phase to later phases for the MoD and other leading defence clients.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Working within a team of systems engineers and subject matter experts to analyse options and concepts for all aspects of the project.
Working with other systems (such as C4I, survivability and lethality) experts to provide an integrated and coherent approach.
Engaging with industry and academia as appropriate to ensure that the latest products and thinking are influencing concepts and requirements.
Working closely with transverse specialists to ensure systems architectures are safe, reliable and supportable.
Technical assurance and direction of contractors undertaking Technology Demonstrator Programmes (TDPs) or specific studies
Requirements
Essential:
Experience and knowledge of systems from a technology development, implementation or analysis perspective
Knowledge of project management, planning and project organisation
Experience of systems engineering on major defence projects
Degree qualified in an engineering discipline, mathematics or physics
A proactive and engaging manner, good at working with large teams in a matrix management organisation
Experience of producing deliverables on time to a high standard in high pressure
Experience of requirements engineering
Desirable:
Experience of working with military customers
Knowledge of safety, ILS, HFI, and R&M disciplines
Experience of testing and trials
Systems engineering process development, data and configuration management |
