Our client is a Global Aerospace Manufacturing company. They employ over 5000 people world wide and are a multi million pound turnover company. They supply products to some of the well know Aerospace type companies in the world including Rolls Royce, Boeing and Airbus to name a few.
Due to year on year growth through acquisitions and the winning of new illustrious contracts our client are looking to expand their Technical Engineering department and are thus looking to recruit an Senior Systems Engineer to join their team based in the South West of England.
Responsibilities
• Managing and co-ordinating HUMS capability and product development activities • Developing the technical maturity of HUMS to a level acceptable for application on products • Generating work-breakdown structures and program plans and monitoring tasks and hours to ensure on-time and on-quality completion • Capturing the functional needs and requirements for health and usage monitoring • Guiding the development of system architectures, equipment, sensors and software algorithms • Providing technical guidance on HUMS technologies and their application to the rest of the team
Skills / Experience
• Degree, or equivalent, in a relevant engineering discipline. • Experience of health, usage or conditioning monitoring • Experience of loads monitoring (eg. OLM or FTI) • Knowledge of system development and system architecture design • Knowledge of requirements management, validation, verification and preferably DOORS • Knowledge of sensors and data acquisition • Knowledge or airworthiness regulations and aircraft systems
