SECURITY WARDEN
RESPONSIBLE TO: CENTRAL SERVICES SUPERVISOR

£9 - 11 per hour (1 month contract )
SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENT
To maintain the physical security of the Site at Aston Down, Stroud in accordance with Instructions, Assignment Instructions and any other instructions which may be in force at the time. Management of the Lone Working Log.
PRIMARY TASKS
Operate the electronic gate entry system.
Monitor the close circuit television (CCTV) security system.
To protect the buildings and contents on the site from damage by fire, water or adverse weather conditions.
Conduct security patrols in accordance with current instructions.
Carry out security checks as required.
Patrol and monitor roads and surroundings areas of the site.
Respond effectively to any security incidents and notify the appropriate emergency services.
Record and report promptly all security breaches.
To ensure that no unauthorised persons or vehicles enter the site.
Check security passes and issue car/access passes as required.
Provide advice, on request, to all authorised personnel site security matters.
To operate radio communications equipment used for security duties.
To monitor all water, oil, gas (LPG), electrical and boiler house installations, to detect breakdowns and wastage and take remedial reporting action as required.
Operate the Security Reception Desk and lone working telephone booking system during silent hours.
Provide emergency first aid services.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 2 years experience of MOD procedures as a member of the Armed Services, Police Service, MoD Police, MoD Guard Force or approved civilian security organisation.
Building and electric fence alarm system – training provided.
Operation of CCTV monitoring system – training provided.
SIA Licence required.
HOURS OF WORK
42 Hours per week.
Rotating programme of 12 hour shifts 0600-1800 hrs and 1800 – 0600 hrs.
