Project Manager – Defence Company - Financial, Risk and Programme Control techniques - based Bristol - salary £28 - 37K
We are looking for a Project Manager to lead a technical support team in a Defence Support and Service area zone which provides technical support to customers with regards to submarine Weapons Discharge Equipment.
Candidates for the position of Project Manager (Defence) should have experience of project management in an engineering environment and good financial, risk and programme control techniques
All Project Management candidates should demonstrate be able to demonstrate good management skills.
All candidates should be team players with good written and oral communication skills oral communication skills.
You would be expected to perform work involving considerable independence in approach, demanding originality, ingenuity and judgement and make technical decisions and determine courses of action necessary to expedite accomplishment of projects.
Day to day tasks will include:-
* Day to day management of an engineering support team
* Reporting to senior managers and internal and customer reporting
* Resource management and prioritisation
* Production and execution of programme plans
* Budgeting and adherence to the budget.
An innovative and enquiring approach to problem solving and an enthusiastic attitude is essential in this role
