Company Description
Our client is a national market leader in the fields of defence and nuclear engineering and enjoys the backing of a large international group. As a design and manufacturing specialist, the client has the capability to take an idea, develop the design, build and manufacture the product.

Position
The successful Mechanical Engineer, Senior Mechanical Engineer, Weapons Equipment Engineer, Senior Weapons Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager will be working in a technical support team within the Defence Support and Service area. This group provides technical support to clients with regards to submarine Weapons Discharge / Handling Equipment.

Key Skills
The Mechanical Engineer, Senior Mechanical Engineer, Weapons Equipment Engineer, Senior Weapons Engineer, Project Engineer, Project Manager should be able to demonstrate engineering experience in the operation, maintenance and design of submarine discharge equipment, have a good knowledge of S, T and V class submarine MoD Book Reference (BR) and Tactical Weapons Operating Procedures (TWOPS), have knowledge of the standards that apply to submarine discharge / handling equipment, have an understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and be a team player with good written and oral communication skills. Experience in 2D & 3D CAD packages would also be advantageous.
