EXPLOSIVES SAFETY ENGINEER / AVON / £34K-£46K
* You will join a rapidly expanding & successful team & provide a significant contribution to our client's business
* You will deliver high quality technical work in the fields of explosives safety engineering to clients in the Defence market
* A specialist in explosive safety, you will be a consultant within the Defence business with opportunities for project responsibility, training, personal challenge & enhanced career prospects across a broad range of defence/non-defence projects
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
* Domain experience in a defence environment &/or explosives industry
* Science/Engineering background; High standard of written & verbal communication
* Degree qualified or demonstrable relevant experience
* Chartered Engineer or equivalent
* Experience in defence, explosives manufacturing, or explosives research industries
* Interest in Safety & Supportability issues within explosives industry
Good knowledge/experience of many of:
- Issues associated with explosives safety within a weapon / platform / facility / manufacturing / transport environment
- Explosives safety management systems
- Explosion effects/consequence analysis
- Accident causation/explosion mechanisms
- Relevant civil &/or Ministry of Defence explosives regulations
- General health, safety & environment background e.g to NEBOSH certificate standard or equivalent
- Risk, Tolerability & As Low As Reasonably Practicable (ALARP)
- Qualitative, Quantitative or Pseudo-Quantitative Risk Analysis
- Hazard identification/analysis |
