We are currently looking to recruit a Data Management Engineer (Design Change) to work at the Submarine Support Management Group (SSMG) in Keynsham, near Bristol.

The post holder will be responsible to the Central Screening Team Leader and Data Manager for the accurate input, verification and tracking of all design change related documentation entering the SSMG Data Management Central Screening section. The role includes the collation and review of all proposed design change documentation for the Submarine Flotilla and the subsequent screening and population of design change data onto a suitable database that monitors design change progress.

The ideal candidate will be educated to HNC level, or equivalent, with suitable submarine support experience, the post holder should have an understanding of submarine systems/layout and a familiarity with the waterfront support environment. Practical experience of the SDD is desirable and the post holder will be expected to become conversant with CWE. Good oral and written communication skills, combined with the ability to liaise with internal and external customers will also be required.
