Senior Building Control Officer WANTED!!!!!
My client, a local authority in Bristol are looking for a Senior Building Control Officer to join their team of 20 friendly professional staff.
The successful candidate will work with building designers, architects and contractors to ensure that new building construction or alterations to existing buildings conform to building regulations before planning permission is sought. If planning permission is granted, you would continue to work with all parties to safeguard continued compliance. Projects can range from relatively small housing extensions through to large city centre redevelopment.
You may also be approving demolitions and carry out surveys of potentially dangerous buildings that may have been damaged by fire or adverse weather conditions.
Candidate Requirements
- The successful candidate will need an in- depth knowledge of regulations covering public health, fire safety, security, construction technology and energy conservation, building accessibility and other environmental issues.
- You will need to be RICS qualified
- At least 6 years experiecnce in Building Control
