A joint venture between a large contractor and a large Consultancy operates the EMAC (Enhanced Managing Agent Contractor) contract in Highways Agency contracts across the Southern Region of the Country. The company draws on the extensive experience, support and proven track record of its two joint venture partners and provides a full range of services to the Highways Agency.
Reporting to a number of Site Agents the Schemes Engineer will be responsible for the management and coordination of various highway construction schemes. You will liaise with our in-house design team as well as monitoring health & safety, environment, quality, programme and costs. Other duties will include: To audit the Supply chain during the construction process Management of interfaces between 3rd parties on construction schemes Organising and chairing weekly site based meetings for each individual construction scheme Providing support and assistance to the Project Manager throughout the full project lifecycle, ensuring the scheme is delivered to the agreed programme. Suitable candidates should be a graduate or HND qualified in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with some on-site contracting experience preferably on highways schemes. Dealing with designers, suppliers, Highways Agency and Stakeholders you will have excellent communication and customer facing skills.
