A large privately owned consultancy are looking for a Project Manager. They have a strong base across the south of the country and aim to be involved in the most prestigious projects going. The basic outline of the role is below.
key accountabilities 1.0 Project Management role from inception to completion including the following Projects: 1.1 £7m Distribution warehouse 1.2 £10m shopping centre redevelopment 1.3 Various office refurbishments/extensions PM roles from £2M to £10M 2.0 Effective Project monitoring 3.0 Act as Employer’s Agent; (potentially for £8m new build office development in central London) 4.0 Working as Project Manager on: 4.1 Office fit-outs 4.2 New build Projects 4.3 Complex developments 5.0 Take responsibility for mentoring/guidance of staff interested in Project Consultancy performance criteria 1.0 Effective understanding of commercial building surveying 2.0 Able to act as Employer’s Agent/Project Manager for commercial new build and refurbishment projects over £2M and development monitoring experience for new developments over £10M 3.0 Able to meet fee targets and generate new business 4.0 Excellent time management skills 5.0 Effective communicator both verbally and written 6.0 Computer literate, including good knowledge of PM tools and processes 7.0 Proactive approach to work skills and behaviour 1.0 Able to lead a team, deliver projects with autonomy and engender confidence in clients. 2.0 Experience of all aspects of Employers Agent Role 3.0 Professional qualification eg MAPM 4.0 Demonstratable experience of all phases of a projects from inception to completion 5.0 Must be a good team player but able to work independently 6.0 Confident communicator verbally and in writing 7.0 Ability to network at business development events 8.0 Party wall and dilapidations experience would be an advantage Additional skills 1.0 Planning and programme experience useful 2.0 Knowledge of Contract Law and procedures 3.0 Ability to deal with enquiries and bids remuneration and benefits 1.0 £55k + package (negotiable, including car allowance), Private Health Care, Life Assurance, PHI, Accident Cover, 25 days annual leave, generous “Fee Plus” bonus scheme,
