A very highly regarded regional contractor, part of a top 5 UK National group currently seek a well experienced Design & Build Coordinator with a proven background.
You will be at the forefront of some of the most prestigious projects in the area in the Education, Leisure and Commercial arenas ranging from £5m - £15m in value.
The role will involve managing the design process on design and construction projects, both at tender and contract stages.
Key functions-
- To manager the design process on Design & Build Projects.
- To ensure the design process is completed on time.
- To co-ordinate the various designers to ensure the completed design as a whole is a workable scheme (build ability).
- To control the design process to ensure the project does not exceed our contractual obligations.
- To value engineer the existing design to improve it and save money.
- To ensure design information is properly communicated to all relevant parties and adequate records are kept.
- To ensure that on completion of a project the manuals meet the client’s requirements and all necessary as built information is produced and archived.
Candidates will also need to:
- Support Building Division in the provision of Design Control.
- Liaise with Region in selection of design teams.
- Introduce and maintain control procedures for design.
