Building Surveyor is required to implement and deliver programmed and commissioned works for a range of clients ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and industry best practices.
Through a Partnership ethos, you will develop a close working rapport with clients'' key service heads to ensure that effective working relationships are maintained and developed.
About the Role
Adopting a pro-active commercial approach to the management of projects, fee generation and regular reporting.
Providing technical advice to clients on building related Best Practice and current legislation.
Managing the delivery of the following services:
Programmed maintenance works
Minor project works
Cyclical maintenance
Reactive maintenance
Building advisory service
Ensuring that all works are dealt with efficiently, effectively and economically within an established budget and programme.
Assist in forward financial and operational planning to meet client Business Plans, including assisting in the development and reporting of budgets, forecasts resources and any other necessary data.
Manage the operation within budget, time, fee and quality constraints, gaining client approval to any exceptions/variations through a change control process.
Operate in compliance with company procedures, best practice and any legislation current at the time.
Advise clients of compliance with statutory and industry best practices.
Verify accounts on behalf of clients.
Ideally have membership of a related Chartered Institution, i.e. RICS, CIOB and a Degree in Building Surveying.
Have knowledge and understanding of legislation and statutory obligations relating to the provision and delivery of a building surveying service, such as CDM, Asbestos, Contract Administration.
