Senior Cost Consultant
Job Role
The initial role is as a Senior Cost Consultant operating within a delivery team but subject to appropriate performance being evidenced it is envisaged that this will become an Associate level position within 12 months leading the team.
Working in a team specialising in the Residential, Regeneration and Retail Sectors. Varied client portfolio encompassing project values ranging from £2 million to £300 million located across the UK
Responsibilities:
• Management, leadership and mentoring of a team of 6 surveyors ranging from graduate to senior level
• Ensuring high quality and consistent service delivery standards on projects
• Direct client liaison and reporting
• Internal commercial management within business unit including resource planning and fee agreements
• Supporting implementation of strategic initiatives from the organisations Sector Management
• Innovation and utilisation of bespoke solutions to meet clients’ needs
Skills / Experience Required:
• Excellent pre and post contract technical quantity surveying & commercial management skills
• Strong client facing skills
• Negotiation / expectation management capability
• Articulate in written and oral communication
• Excellent prioritisation and self management skills and ability to work in a high pressure environment
• Strong knowledge and track record in application of IT based solutions
• Awareness of current issues in residential & regeneration sector
• Ideally, the candidate should have post qualification experience in primarily a consultancy environment working within the private residential or mixed use regeneration sectors (a shorter length of experience will be considered if demonstrable track record in a senior position can still be evidenced)
• Strong web based tools and Microsoft Excel knowledge preferred
• Track record of leading a small – medium sized team of surveyors
• Track record of being responsible for the direct maintenance of client relationships

• MRICS / FRICS qualified or equivalent
