Due to our continued success we are now keen to recruit a Commercial Contracts Officer who will be based at our Cheltenham office. This role involves examining and commenting on proposed Forms of Contract, e.g. JCT, NEC, the identification of risk and the successful negotiation and resolution of issues that arise out of such examination.

To perform successfully in this role the successful candidate would need to demonstrate:
•Knowledge of all the major forms of contract
•Capability to carry out assessment of risks associated with construction projects
•Negotiation skills
Main duties and responsibilities:
•Pre-tender assessment of risks, including contract conditions
•Tender stage assessment of risks on construction projects
•Examination of proposed forms of contract and amendments
•Advising the Commercial Director on the acceptability of such matters
•Negotiating with clients and their advisers
Ideally the successful candidate would have:
•Experience of the major forms of contract used within the industry
•An aptitude for examining contract conditions
•Strong Negotiation skills
•Be an effective communicator, level headed and a good team player
•Be computer literate
