What is the Role?
As a Senior Telecomm Designer, you will manage the provision of Telecommunication design and systems engineering services. You will provide technical expertise and leadership to projects and external clients.
Responsibilities
· Providing support for installation, commissioning, surveys and bids.
· Design and documentation of Rail Telecoms systems, including safety critical Telecoms systems, within programme, budget, safety, commercial and quality constraints.
· Assist in the technical audit of projects and suppliers.
· Advise non-Telecoms led project teams as to impact on Telecoms systems and propose effective solutions when necessary.
· Review engineering projects to determine whether contractual, quality and engineering standards are met
Who are the likely candidates ?/What skills do I need?
· A technical background with sufficient underpinning knowledge to hold (or be able to obtain)
· IRSE License 2.1.115.
· Demonstrated experience in the railway engineering environment.
· Computer literate
· Technical qualification to Degree level or NVQ Level 4 is desirable
