Our client is a design and engineering consultancy, specialising in property. They are currently searching for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their office in Bristol. You will be working alongside the Associate Director, taking a senior role in project work, focused on structural design, conducting design surveys and liaising with clients.
The role includes all aspects of design and you will have extensive experience in the field of structural design across a range of small to medium scale projects. It is therefore important that you have good communication skills and can demonstrate relevant experience, whilst working to clients briefs unsupervised.
You will have previous design experience in all the major construction materials to British Standards and will be able to demonstrate the ability to consistently meet deadlines.
Ideally you should have experience in the design of timber frame, conventional reinforced concrete and structural steel for significant projects. Experience in the design of other materials is desirable but not essential.
In taking a leading role in projects, you should have experience of attending client meetings and liaising and co-ordinating with the Associate Director; planning work and ensuring quality control.
Must be Chartered.
