Senior Civil Engineer job based in Cardiff, South Wales to work within a global engineering consultancy on Renewable Energy and Power Generation projects.
This position reports to the Water Team Leader and relevant Project Manager(s). The company ideally want candidates with experience of Power Stations or Renewable Energy projects such as wind farms or hydropower stations – You will possess heavy civils design experience with design of large-scale reinforced concrete. As the successful candidate you will be working on Power Generation and Water projects as well such as water / sewerage treatment and infrastructure projects e.g. Pipes.
The main duties of the Senior Civil Engineer include but are no limited to:
* Technical delivery of design solutions to clients to the direction of the Project Manager
* Act as mentor to less experienced team members
* Co-ordinate project work with multi disciplinary teams
* Act as Design Manager on small to medium sized projects
* Interface at the appropriate level within the client project delivery team
* Undertake checking and approval of design deliverables prepared by others
* Ensure compliance with relevant company procedures
