My client, a multi-disciplinary railway consultancy is looking to recruit a Senior Bridge Engineer to join their Civil & Structural Engineering Team in Swindon.
Duties/Responsibilities included in this role are:
Assisting the Section Manager to further develop the existing bridges section in Swindon.
Responsibility for the design/assessment of bridges
Mentoring junior engineers and graduates and assist the Section Manager to ensure that designs are compiled diligently.
Responsibility for compiling fee bids for single and multi-discipline projects.
Personal requirements are:
Proven experience of bridge design and construction preferably involving railway structures
Good leadership and mentoring skills
A degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or in a relevant subject
Chartered Engineer (MICE) or working towards Chartership
Experience of structural analysis software in connection with bridge structures
General railway civil engineering experience
Some project management experience
