Our client is looking for an experienced candidate to be responsible for project management of one or more nominated projects, coordinating all required inputs from both internal and external resources, to deliver the required outputs to time and budget, and in line with Client and contractual requirements. The role will include:- • Resource requirement identification, nomination and programming. • Coordination and ongoing project management of design, procurement, site supervision resources from internal Area 1 teams. • Coordination and ongoing project management of design, specialist services, and site supervision resources from external sources, either parent company or other. • Set up of project programme and ongoing maintenance of this programme. • Monthly progress reporting against programme, in report and face to face with client. • Ongoing project budget management and monthly forecast review and amendment. • Liaison with stakeholders, including the client, statutory organisations, local authorities, local interest groups and members of the public, as required by the project. • Ensure full application of Construction (Design and Management) 2007 to project. • Ensure full application of environmental assessment to project • Ensure full application of all specialist inputs, e.g. signing, structures, geotechnical etc. • Actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with the general Health and Safety responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety Procedures Manual. The suitable candiate will ideally have: • Affiliation with appropriate Civil Engineering Institute. • Engineering qualification, including highways aspects. • Demonstrable experience in highways project management. • Experience of Highways Agency projects, preferably Managing Agent Contractor commissions.
