What is the Role?
As a Principle Electrical Designer, you will provide support to the Unit Manager and undertake design, supervision and management of a wide range of projects in the railway environment. You will also be involved with managing a wide variety of single discipline and multi-disciplinary projects.
Responsibilities
· Provide technical support, tender preparation and cost estimates. · Develop and manage business opportunities and subordinate staff as necessary. · Take responsibility for railway M&E infrastructure design · Carry out conceptual designs and details design on a wide variety of projects in the railways environment and for mechanical and electrical building services projects. · Prepare reports and similar documentation to client requirements. · Set and Manage project, technical, safety and quality targets/objectives. · Undertake site supervision, site visits and site surveys
Who are the likely candidates?
· Ideally a first degree in Electrical Engineering · Minimum of HNC in Electrical Engineering · Member of the IET · Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer.
What skills do I need?
· Extensive experience in design and design management within M&E Systems · Experience HV/ · LV distribution and control including building services
