We are currently recruiting for a Highways Technician for a role based in North Bristol but covering the whole of the South West. It is fundamental that the successful candidate has an appropriate qualification in Civil Engineer, or be training towards this qualification (we may be able to provide financial assistance with this).
The post holder will be assisting in the delivery of highways schemes by preparing designs, reports and specifications for the Highways Team. Experience for working in a similar role, as well as a desire to develop within the industry is essential.
You will be responsible for
• To support the Highways Team manage external resources used.
• To support the preparation of designs, reports, specifications and other deliverables for highways schemes.
• To prepare quarterly training reports and hold quarterly training meetings; and undertake annual training reviews, where undertaking training.
• To ensure designs are appropriate and meet the expected levels of technical excellence.
Although ideally they are looking for a Permanent member of staff a freelance option will be considered so please don’t let this put you off applying.
