My client, a multi-disciplinary railway consultancy is looking to recruit a Design Section Manager to join their Swindon Office.
Duties/Responsibilities of this role:
Responsibility for the management and development of an additional Design Team within the Civil & Structural Engineering team in Swindon.
Responsibility for delivery of projects, compiling fee bids / proposals for single and multi disciplined projects, marketing, and ensuring compliance with QA procedures.
As part of the team undertake a wide range of rail related projects, including bridgeworks, station buildings, platforms and other rail infrastructure works in the UK and overseas.
Personal requirements are:
A degree (or equivalent) in Engineering or in a relevant subject
Chartered Engineer (MICE) or working towards Chartership
Good experience of bridge design and construction, preferably involving railway structures and rail related structures.
Have good leadership and mentoring skills.
Communication skills must be excellent both verbally and written.
You will be willing to travel in the UK and overseas.
