Civil / Structural Engineer vacancy working in the Nuclear industry for a leading global engineering consultancy based in Bristol.


About You:
You will hold an Honours Degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering and for more senior positions you will be Chartered MIStructE or MICE, or working towards Chartership.
Knowledge and experience using software packages i.e. AutoCAD, FE analysis software is an advantage and familiarity with the Microsoft suite of products. Project engineering experience, including design, project management and some site supervision an advantage. As an individual you will be driven to meet targets and have a high level of commercial awareness.
 
The Job:
Our client's rapidly expanding Power Generation division provides technical consultancy services to owners of power generating assets. Their clients own and operate nuclear, coal, gas fired and hydro stations with capacities from 4GW to less than 1MW and their services typically relate to supporting them and getting optimum value from those assets. Within the role you will be undertaking: -
-Project definition
-Preparation of conceptual and scheme designs
-Preparation of technical specifications
-Liaison with senior managers to ensure technical deliverables are on time and to client requirements
-Production and checking of the detailed design deliverables and engineering drawings
