What is the Role?
Due to company expansion, our client is looking to grow their already strong Civil Engineering Rail team out of their Swindon office. You will be asked to undertake any work of a technical nature relating to Bridges and Structures within the Rail industry.
Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to;
· To undertake any work of a technical nature within the rail civil environment .
· To work at any position within a project team to achieve the project objectives.
· When required, to undertake the roles of Activity Manager, Designer and Checker as defined in the Quality Manual and the competency appraisal processes.
What Skills do I need?
· The Jobholder should be computer literate and conversant with MS Office suite and building knowledge in the use of structural analysis software (SuperSTRESS, SCALE and Archie).
· You should also be familiar with production of drawings using AutoCAD.
· The ideal candidate should be able to plan and undertake railway safety critical duties to facilitate track access in both red and green zone environments. This may include undertaking the duties of COSS.
