You will: § Develop the Technical management team within the branch and its constituent parts within the branches to successfully achieve company, team and individual goals and objectives relating to the implementation of best value design and standardisation of technical practices and procedures throughout the company. § Take responsibility for all technical aspects of mechanical/building services/electrical work performed by the company from the inception stage through to final completion of projects and client handover. § Assist in the development and maintenance of a list of approved designers and consultants, identifying core technical competencies. § Conduct regular independent technical/design reviews/audits of both internal and external designs in accordance with the Divisional Strategy. § Evaluate new products/systems/design software, making recommendations § Be familiar with all current and future legislation regarding Building Regulations, standards, CDM, Health, Safety & Environmental issues relating to design and technical activities. § Awareness of national and international standards of technical expertise § Maintain design and technical management tools to ensure Divisional Strategy is being implemented § Design and tender support, tender reviews, technical risk assessments, design reviews create a more profitable, design and risk managed business.
