£200M M&E Building Services Contractor with a large Bristol office handling projects to £10M+ along the M4 & M5 corridors seeks to recruit an accomplished Senior M&E Quantity Surveyor to further strengthen its commercial team. Qualified to ideally HND standard, duties within the role will include: vetting, processing, negotiation & exchanging main & sub-forms of contract; preparation of subcontractor enquiry documentation; selection of subcontractors, preparation & agreement of forms of contract and terms & conditions; preparation & agreement of monthly interim applications/ valuations and audit/ maintenance of positive cash flow; logging & recording of variations; processing variations and associated costs forward to production, negotiation & agreement of final account; monitoring of on-site progress against agreed programmes & serving contractual notices relating to delays & disruption of contract works; production & presentation of loss and/ or expense claims for prolongation/ disruption; internal monitoring & making monthly payments to subcontractors; assisting in the preparation of contract reviews; risk registers etc for management, assessment & forecast of contract margins.
