The Bristol office is currently recruiting for an experienced electrical design engineer to join their design arm of the company.
The role is to assist in all aspects of Building Services Design within the Branch whilst assisting the Branch Management team to achieve agreed company goals and objectives.
You will be required to:
·Work to company policy and technical standards/regulations relevant to the Design & Technical Engineering
·Assist in all Design & Build work collaborating with the Contract teams, undertaking Design Reviews and appraisals as necessary.
·Provide design/technical assessment of all tenders within the Branch, paying particular attention to the technical risk assessment of both traditional and Design & Build projects.
·Undertake schematic and detailed design of installations/schemes
·Be conversant with the various Building Services Design software packages to carry out design related activities.
·Provide technical advice/assistance to queries raised by the project teams, and assist with the re-engineering of pre-designed contracts.
·Conduct design validation visits to installation sites to ensure that installation satisfies design intent, and/or to brief.
·Participate in the successful assessment of competence and performance monitoring of Designers and Design Consultants/Contractors, agreeing design responsibility at the pre-commencement stage of specific projects.
·Maintain high levels of commercial confidentiality
Applicants are required to have experience in electrical design within the building services industry and are preferred to have relevant qualification.
