One of our most prestigious engineering consultancies are in urgent need of three Manufacturing Engineers to join their team based in the Somerset. They operate from three offices throughout the UK and currently work alongside major Blue Chip companies such as Airbus, Westland’s and Stork.
This position is crucial to the productivity and efficiency of the manufacturing department. The Manufacturing Engineers will be professionally organised individuals with good analytical and communication skills. The Manufacturing Engineers will work closely with one another ensuring relevant cost effective manufacturing and assembly processes are developed, well documented and introduced into the manufacturing environment.
The successful Manufacturing Engineers will have an excellent understanding of Lean Manufacturing to improve process flow, design (moulds, jigs and fixture), excellent computer/software skills and report writing ability.

The successful candidates will hold a degree or minimum HNC qualification in Mechanical /Manufacturing Engineering and have more than 2 years working experience within a Blue-chip Engineering Company preferably Aerospace. Previous experience of Lean Manufacturing is required and those Manufacturing Engineers with any previous exposure to composites and non-metallic environments will be strongly favoured and warrant a higher salary.
On a daily basis you’re Duties and Responsibilities;
- Process Development - Manufacturing Routings - Bills of Materials - Design of moulds, tools and jigging - Utilise Lean Principles to improve process flow, build cycle and waste reduction - Report Writing
The Manufacturing Engineers salary will pay between £25,000 and £35,000 depending on experience and industry knowledge. This is based on a basic 39 hour week, over time is available along with an excellent benefits package consisting of paid pension, the opportunity to work free of charge to chartered status and much more.
