As ISR (Information System Representative) for Flight Physics the Jobholder is accountable for:
Managing Flight Physics UK IT operational and strategic requirements as part of the Flight Physics Business Team and the Transnational Methods and Tools team.
Acting as single point of contact between Information Systems (OI) and Flight Physics at the French sites concerning day-to-day IT services - notably IT Service requests. In this function the person is in charge of all the business IT needs with control on the IS budgets
Acting in accordance with miscellaneous Directives (DIG, Desktop Policy Engineering, Security)
Collaborating with ISRs of other sites and/or from other functions.
Managing a sub-contractor who assists in the operational activities.

Plans and coordinates
IS related needs of Flight Physics and directs the respective requests to Information Systems in the name of the users (i.e.: Hardware-, Software-, Account creation-/deletion-, Multifunctional printer-, Network connection-, Access to Applications- Moves of elementary Assets- and Entity creation on shared servers-requests) in the frame of the AOP.
Getting quotes and raising POs for new software, interfacing with OI and Procurement in doing so.
Troubleshooting user problems with software or installation and Writing / co-writing business cases for new software / hardware. Challenging software requirements,
Co-writing business cases for new servers, disk space and memory upgrades Working with the OI Infrastructure team on Flight Physics HPC projects defining requirements, requesting quotes for business cases and PO's, monitoring project progress.
Proactive planning in preparation for IT projects that will impact Flight Physics, e.g. VISTA migration.
