We are a specialist recruitment agency and we are currently looking for a number of experienced aerospace engineers for our prestigisou client. We have contract and permanent roles available - please visit our website colbernlimited co uk for more opportunities.

The Electrical Engineer - Tunnel Operations Engineer will be based in Bristol and will be responsible for the support of the control systems required to operate the wind tunnel facililty. The role will also include design, manufacture and integration of the wind tunnel model system. The role encompasses the responsibility for organising instrumentation maintenance and calibration schedules both on and off site. The successful Engineer will be expected to contribute to the development of the group ensuring that the electrical systems architecture design and development is validated, verified and commissioned.


The successful candidate will need to have the following skills and expertise.

Skills/Qualifications

Required Qualifications.

HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering with significant experience in the aircraft/test industry, or
a recognised apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering with extensive experience in the aircraft/test industry.


Required Skills
· Basic PC skills and familiarity with the following software: MS Excel, MS Project and MS Word.
· Knowledge of analogue and digital electrical systems and techniques.
· Familiarity with the principles of data logging and data acquisition
· Experience of systems integration.
· Experience of Local Area Networking.


Desirable Skills.

· General instrumentation experience.
· Experience of control systems, motion, compressed air etc, including software utilities.
· Experience of circuit design utilities such as MPLAB etc.
· Experience of National Instruments LabVIEW and Motion Architect software package.
· Knowledge of digital image capture, editing and compression techniques.
