Our client is a leading aircraft manufacturer based in the Bristol area with world class manufacturing facilities. The requirement is for a Braking Systems Performance Engineer, Anti-Skid to successfully lead the development and analysis of braking system performance on all our client's aircraft types. A key element will be the development and continuous improvement of the anti-skid braking systems.
The role for the Braking Systems Performance Engineer, Anti-Skid will include –
The definition of system performance requirements
Liaison with other teams including Aircraft performance, Flight test, Wheels, Tyres and Brakes
Technical management of braking system suppliers
System design
Modelling and simulation to validate requirements and design
Support to software and integrated system test
Review and creation of documentation
Involvement in associated activities including Safety, Maturity and Certification
The role will cover a full range of products at various stages of development and operational life cycle and the successful Braking Systems Performance Engineer, Anti-Skid will need a good engineering qualification, good interpersonal skills with the relevant experience and knowledge to drive the development of high performance aircraft braking systems.
