Air-to-Air Refuelling Equipment Development Bristol, South West Avon Rate negotiable
We are a recruitment agency and we are currently looking for a contractor for our Bristol based client - initially the contract will be six months, this may be extended.
The main objective of this role is to manage the development, integration and testing of the AAR equipment (pod/pylon and HDU)
Tasks include: - Manage interface definition (electrical power and control) between AAR equipment supplier (pod and HDU) and FQMS, ATA24 etc.
- Define and manage the AAR equipment (pod and HDU) chapters of the relevant PTS specifications e.g. HMI, electrical, control.
- Act as technical focal point for air to air refuelling equipment supplier with respect to avionic, electrical and HMI development.
- Gain detailed technical understanding of equipment supplier design and qualification task progress. Provide regular written reports of findings (successes, issues and risks) to task leader.
- Review equipment supplier technical documentation (using relevant experts/stakeholders as required) and support design reviews. Ensure review comments are answered by the equipment supplier and incorporated into design documentation as required.
- Specify and manage the following test hardware development and deliveries: o Electrical Consumer Unit (ECU) supplied by FRL to ATA24 Bench for Electrical Network Quality (BENQ) o POD and HDU emulator supplied by FRL for use on Filton Fuel SIB and Toulouse AC0. - Support flight test prototype pod development from electrical and control perspectives (if required
