Our client are currently seeking a Senior Project Controller based in their High Wycombe Office to support other regional offices in the south of the country.
The successful candidate will act as a Senior/Lead Project Controller and will have some/all responsibility for the project controls function on a large project(s), or a portfolio of medium sized projects.
Responsibilities for this role will include: •Demonstrating advanced skill level and progressive experience within project controls related disciplines •Being fully accountable for all aspects of their work and ability to coordinate with all relevant disciplines/individuals •Exerting judgement and providing analysis of results of project controls and recommending actions to Project Manager •Monitoring deviations/inconsistencies, project progress and recommending corrective action when required •Interfacing directly with external and internal clients in order to review project plans, budgets, status reports and deliverables •Mentoring and coaching project control specialists. Provides effective, constructive feedback. •May serve in a functional role to educate and train other Project Control Specialist •Assists in continuous improvement of project control system and practices
Qualifications and Experience.
To be successful in this role you should have strong proven competence in project control after completing undergraduate education of a degree or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Science, Business or similar.
You will have advanced level knowledge and skills with Primavera Client and Web Applications and ideally be able to demonstrate skills in managing and leading teams. Good negotiation, communication, and formal presentation skills as well as good team work skills in working with project team members and peers is essential.
