Our client is a well renowned consultancy with an extensive track record of coastal and marine projects in the Middle East including Waterfront Development, Leisure and Tourism, Dredging and Reclamation. Ports, Harbours and marinas and Oil & Gas
Their projects range in size from small advisory inputs of a few days up to 2-3 year programmes of investigations, modelling and design.
Current and recent projects include; • Bahrain - Coastal engineering and modelling studies for one of the world's largest artificial island developments, Diyaar Al Muharraq • Dubai - Design of infrastructure for the Oqyana part of The World Project. • Angola - Engineering and modelling studies to support a LNG terminal • Nigeria - Wave & sediment studies for a new port
There is an urgent requirement for an experienced Principal Engineer to join their team and be based in Dubai with potential travel within the Gulf region and the United Kingdom.
The role will be to undertake roles in Coastal engineering and coastal processes/ modelling.
The successful engineer will be involved in managing project components, helping prepare bids and assistance with business development will also be part of the role for more experienced candidates.
Below is a list of the types are projects that the successful applicant will be involved in • Waterfront projects, including design of reclamations, edge structures, canals and lagoons. • Beach design and beach control structures. • Coastal defence projects, including study and design of solutions to failing defences and erosion problems. • Marine EIA including dredging assessments, flushing/water quality and outfall assessments • Ports and harbour projects, including study and design of marina and port layout.
