Dedicated to a major project in the transport environment, our growing Reading office is seeking for responsible and reliable new personnel to join a multi-disciplinary team. The scope of our work encompasses civil & structural, mechanical & electrical and architectural design. The principal function of this position is to develop the Crossrail construction programme in line with the evolving design for the scheme, the Client's procurement strategy, project interfaces, 3rd party constraints etc.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
•develop construction methodology and programme logic for scheme designs •determine plant & labour resource requirements for the scheme designs produced by us •review the Crossrail integrated construction programme for the sections of the Crossrail route for which we are responsible and ensure that the programme is updated to align with the current scheme designs, construction methodology, programme constraints etc •manage the activities of a junior planner responsible for using Primavera planning software for the preparation and updating of construction programmes •liaise with the Clients construction planners and those of the other project multi-disciplinary consultants regarding development of the Crossrail Integrated Construction Programme
The successful candidate should possess a relevant degree or equivalent and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
•practical experience in construction of multi disciplinary projects, ideally in rail infrastructure •experience in scheduling of civil engineering and building (architectural and M & E) activities on infrastructure construction projects, ideally railway stations, tunnels, shafts & portals •knowledge of Primavera planning software •able to achieve deadlines •able to liaise with other disciplines •good communication skills
