Summary of the role
To lead Project Quality Control activities and to ensure that Quality Control requirements on individual projects are identified, specified, resourced and implemented in an appropriate manner.

• To ensure that AWE’s contractual Quality Control requirements are achieved on individual projects • Forecasting, planning and resourcing projects Quality Control requirements • To ensure that the Quality Control resource is competent and appropriately qualified • Representing Quality Control at project meetings

Knowledge, Qualifications Experience & Skills
• Has produced and implemented Quality Control plans/Inspection and test plans • Understands the requirements for document control and collation of lifetime records • Has proven extensive knowledge in fabrication, site construction and installation, or commissioning, inspection roles • Member of the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) is preferred • Qualified or approved in a construction related activity, electrical, mechanical, civil, C&I etc • Proven experience in the power industry, oil and gas, petro-chemical or heavy industry nuclear experience would also be an advantage • Has had managerial experience in a quality role • Has recently been employed or involved in a quality control role in construction • Ability to communicate during all stages of the project, in both oral and written language and using the flow of information to promote Quality Control implementation • Ability to liaise at all levels, Director to shop floor
