Operations Manager
Our Client is a global company delivering world class value to its Members, through research, consultancy and training services in welding and joining, engineering, NDT inspection, materials, surfacing, and lifecycle integrity - respected for its expertise, professionalism and independence.
One of our clients Subsidiary companies are now looking for an Operations Manager. They are an independent commercial UKAS accredited testing Laboratory offering a mechanical and metallurgical testing service to a diverse range of industries. Consultancy clients include insurance companies, government agencies, shipping and plant asset management companies.
Your role:
Our client is looking for an Operations Manager who is capable of growing the business in terms of both customer service and order growth.
The appointment will also form a strategic part of the company succession planning at executive director level.
Main Tasks include:
Day to day management of company testing operations and staff resource
Development and sustainability of new business across the portfolio of company products
Maintenance and strategic development of the company UKAS accreditation
Performance and quality auditing
Developing and maintaining a strategic global awareness and identification of international business opportunities.
Requirements:
You will hopefully have a materials degree or equivalent
Experience of working in a similar commercial laboratory would be advantageous
Candidates must possess good interpersonal and operational management skills

Salary Details

37 hours per week.
