* Software Engineer sought to join an established electronics design consultancy to work on all aspects of the software product lifecycle including: Concept generation; Specification; Design; Implementation; Integration; Test & in-service support
* Varied position including real-time operating systems, graphical interfaces, off the shelf high-technology sub-systems as well as in-house processor driven boards
We are keen to hear from SOFTWARE ENGINEERS with skills as follows:
- C &/or C++ programming
- Structured analysis/software design methodologies, incl. configuration control, writing specifications, testing & hardware integration
- Software verification techniques/tools
- Sub-system integration/test
- Understanding/exp in operating across a number of stages of the software engineering lifecycle
- Willing to travel within UK/overseas at short notice/possibly on a frequent basis
Desirable skills include an understanding of:
- Operating systems, languages & technology trends
- Developing real-time embedded software
- Communication protocols, for example RS422, IP RTOS, for example VX works, VRTX, WIN CE
- Low-level hardware interface drivers, for example PowerPC, ARM, MIPs
- GUI design
