A Health and Safety Administrator is required in the Bedford area. This job requires strong knowledge of ISO legislation along with up to date Health & Safety knowledge. Objectives:
- To ensure that the company's properties are maintained to the highest standards. - To ensure all properties adhere to all Health & Safety requirements. - To administer the company's current ISO certifications of BS EN ISO - 9001:2000 Quality, ISO 14001:2004 Environment, ISO/TEC 27001:2005 Data Security - Regularly check all facilities to ensure that no Health & safety issues are breached. - Liase with the Buildings Manager to ensure that any works carried out are in accordance with company policy. - Ensure that all work carried out are done so according to the individual project plan. - Ensure that all contractors working on site are authorised to do so and have relevant insurance cover. - To ensure that compliance is kept and the certifications retained - Maintain full and comprehensive records with the inclusion of evidence as required by the external auditors - Ensure that any non compliances found are satisfied and/or procedures changed to comply - To organise and chair ISO management meeting and present a full and comprehensive set of minutes - To liaise and meet with the external auditors for the annual audit - To bring to management's attention any areas where procedures can be improved to increase efficiency, best practice and quality of service To assist with applications for any future accreditations which the Company may require. - To carry out any risk assessments which may be required
Skills & Attributes:
- IT literate, particularly in MS Office - Minimum of 2 years experience of audit in an ISO environment - Proven hands on H & S experience - Recognised Health & Safety qualification. - Diligent individual with attention to details at all times. - Able to work under own initiative. - Able to communicate at all levels. - Able to work in a multi-tasking environment. - Flexible approach
