Due to continual expansion, our client has a requirement for an enthusiastic Senior / Transport Planner.
You will have the opportunity to get involved with various projects including master planning, development planning and general transport planning and your initial key responsibilities will include:
• Mid-level support to team managers
• Day-to-day project tasks and financial management of designated projects to time and budget
• Client liaison on designated projects, fostering good client contacts and seeking further business opportunities
• Coaching and mentoring of less experienced staff
• Assist team leaders
• Ensuring good co-ordination between team, the office, the business unit and wider organisation.
You will ideally hold a related first degree with sound applied knowledge, understanding and experience in Transport Planning technical processes and assessment techniques.
You should be IT literate and your knowledge and / or experience of software packages should include MS Word, MS Excel, ARCADY, PICADY, OSCADY / LINSIG, TRANSYT, TRICS, TEMPRO, PTAL, TRAVL and / or MICROSIMULATION.
Proven up to date basic project management skills with a keen business orientated approach are also essential as are high analytical and report writing skills.
Our client will offer a competitive salary dependent on level of appointment, but probably in the range of £26 - 36,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
