You will join an established team who have worked on some of London's major projects and will play an important role in delivering a wide range of high-profile Traffic Engineering projects.
Responsibilities of the role will include:
• Involvement in a range of challenging traffic engineering schemes and transport studies • Assisting feasibility studies, scheme assessment, public consultation and statutory procedures • Undertaking elements of projects from instruction through to completion including the preparation of drawings using AutoCAD • Liaising with other teams (possibly in different offices), specialists and other third parties • Working with senior team members in undertaking estimating, cost reporting and forecasting for projects, possibly becoming involved in the tendering process for new work.
You will have a degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or a related subject, will have some postgraduate experience with a proven track record in delivering high quality work on traffic engineering schemes and will have some experience in the use of AutoCAD.
The ability to assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations and excellent report writing and verbal communication skills are essential as is the ability to apply good analytical and numeric skills to project work.
You will be a motivated team player, who has exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills and is dedicated to the delivery of projects and the development of the business as a whole.
The role will provide an opportunity to develop skills in the traffic engineering field and will demand a balance of technical expertise, budget and resource management and the capability to successfully deliver results to multiple projects.
The opportunity to gain training towards becoming a Chartered Engineer will be offered by our client, together with a competitive salary, probably in the range of £24 - 28,000 p.a., and an attractive benefits package.
