If you are able to provide wide-ranging traffic / transportation expertise to multi-disciplinary projects within our client's office, we would like to hear from you.
You will be expected to act as an independent advisor to public and private clients, providing in-depth analyses and forecasting for urban and rural development.
Your experience will allow you to undertake and ultimately manage current projects and manage a developing team of modellers.
Your main responsibilities will be to help ensure successful delivery of projects, the coordination of technical and project management focus for the application of specialist traffic / transportation skills available elsewhere within the consultancy to relevant projects and to assist in and take responsibility for delivery of technical, financial and management requirements of projects, supported by a team of junior staff as and when required.
You will have a good first degree or equivalent in a numerical subject such as Maths, Operational Research, Geography, Economics or Engineering, whilst a postgraduate qualification in traffic / transportation is desirable, but by no means essential.
If you have significant modelling experience, particularly in EMME2, pedestrian and / or SATURN, you will be at an advantage, although again, this is not essential.
You will need to have specific experience in two or more of the following areas:
• Multi-modal modelling and feasibility studies • Pedestrian modelling using LEGION, PEDROUTE or PAXPORT • Transport and junction assessments including ARCADY, PICADY, OSCADY, LINSIG or TRANSYT • Micro-simulation using VISSIM or PARAMICS • Transport Assessments • Economic and financial appraisals, Business Case development • Transport master planning • Toll roads, DBFO & PFI
You will have a desire to extend your capability in modelling and will be keen to progress within a supportive environment.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £31 - 36,000 p.a., together with a comprehensive benefits package.
