Due to ongoing expansion our client has an exciting, newly created position for a Transport Planner at Senior level to support the success of their Transport Services division.
You will be responsible for project co-ordination and client liaison on private and public sector transportation projects ranging from strategic through to detailed design covering all aspects of planning and engineering. Other responsibilities will include:
• Managing transport projects / briefs
• Preparing transport assessments and managing technical work
• Master planning
• Leading a team of graduates, assistant engineers and technicians to meet deadlines
• Client and external project team liaison, which will include attendance at meetings
Preferably degree qualified or equivalent in a relevant discipline, you must have experience in undertaking transport assessments and in urban regeneration work as well as knowledge of the development planning process.
Knowledge / experience of standard transport models – e.g. PICADY, ARCADY, OSCADY, TRANSYT, LINSIG, etc. would be advantageous.
This position is particularly suitable for an ambitious individual who would be expected to progress rapidly as a default of drive, commitment and excellence.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £32 - 36,000 p.a., together with an attractive benefits package.
