JOB PROFILE Transportation is a core sector of Mott MacDonald Group business. Integrated Transport Division (ITD) maintains a diverse range of technical, managerial and analytical skills and services to deliver to our customers throughout the world.
We are recruiting for a Senior Transport Modeller to contribute and add value to the delivery of Integrated Transport’s current portfolio of work and assist in the growth of our national and international business. Projects that the division is involved in include Crossrail, Victoria Station Upgrade, London Olympics 2012 and a range of other national and international framework scheme.
JOB DESCRIPTION A key member of the modelling team, the Senior Transport Modeller will be highly integrated with a range of planning and modelling projects and assisting in these project delivery and direction.
Responsibilities of the role will include the following: • Act as project manager and provide technical inputs to the various client groups as well as co-ordinating modelling advice • Expanding internal markets within the Group include transport inputs to stadia, hospitals and business park developments. • Management and implementation of project Modelling and CAD standards. • liaison with relevant leaders and management of resources and staff involved in resourcing requirements and production. • Resource management and business development that will work closely with the existing modelling teams. • Consultation with wide ranging client groups and possibly including extensive public consultation. • Check sample output for compliance with QA requirements and industry best practice.
CANDIDATE SPECIFICATION Applicants must have excellent commercial and financial management awareness, be committed to providing high quality solutions and advice to clients and have first class report writing, project management, supervisory, communication and technical ability.
• Preferably be an associate member or technical member of a professional institution such as ICE or IStructE • Applicants should have a degree in a numerate discipline and have substantial experience in transport modelling. • Candidates must have the ability to manage numerous details at the same time and make connections between multiple factors. • Good communication skills and interpersonal skills are essential for this role. • In addition they will be required to manage consultant and graduate resources. • To have experience in some or all of the following would be useful but is not essential: ArchiCAD; Autodesk ADT; 3D Studio Max; Maya
