A new, exciting opportunity for a Senior Technician with a willingness to learn and develop has arisen to join our client's West Sussex office and become a core member of a team of over twenty Infrastructure Engineers
You will be expected to lead and develop small teams of Graduates and Technicians in preparing design solutions for infrastructure schemes at preliminary, tender and detailed design stages of the project.
You will hold a Civil Engineering related Degree, B.Eng level minimum or equivalent and have or be pursuing Chartered status. You will also have recent, relevant experience in Highways and Infrastructure Engineering, a thorough understanding of adoptable highway and drainage design principles and procedures, experience in the detailed design of Infrastructure works and experience in alignment design and in the use of Moss / PDS and AutoCAD.
A detailed knowledge of the Highways Agency’s DMRB and SHW, Section 38 and 104 procedures is also required whilst knowledge / experience of the following would be advantageous:
• Pavement design / earthworks
• WINDES and SUDS
• Project procurement and implementation procedures
• Working with Developer Clients
You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and under pressure when necessary, will have good team player skills within a multi-disciplinary environment and will be a good communicator at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
Our client will offer a competitive salary, probably in the range of £25 - 32,000 p.a., together with an attractive benefits package.
