We have exciting opportunities for Senior Technicians in our Bridges team to work on a number of major bridge and architectural footbridge projects. Successful candidates will also be involved in major highway and motorway improvement schemes being carried out under ECI and Design and Build contracts.
The opportunity
The role will involve undertaking, and supporting the preparation of, various aspects of bridge design on large Bridge and Highways Improvement Schemes. You will also be responsible for detailed design and the preparation of contract drawings and documents, produced independently or by other team members.

Who we are looking for
- Incorporated Engineers or HND/HNC education
- Wide ranging experience in several aspects of design which may include, but not be limited to:
- The preparation of General Arrangement drawings,
- Detailing of steelwork and reinforced concrete for bridge and highway structures,
- The application of the Highway Agency's DMRB and MCDHW documents,
- Thorough knowledge and experience in using Autocad.
You will also have a proven ability to supervise other technicians and communicate with colleagues at all levels and other parties. A flexible attitude and a keen interest in working in a multi-disciplinary environment with frequently changing deadlines are essential. |
