Do you have a passion for highways design, a flexible attitude and a keen interest in working in a multi-disciplinary environment with frequently changing deadlines?

Due to their continued success, our client's Hampshire office has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Highways Technician to join their team of friendly professionals.

Working alongside their Engineers, you will undertake and support the preparation of various aspects of highway design on large Highways Improvement schemes and you will have responsibility for detailed design and the preparation of contract drawings and documents, produced independently or by other team members.

You will be an Incorporated Engineer OR have a relevant HND / HNC qualification or equivalent and will have an appropriate amount of experience OR OND / ONC qualified or equivalent with significant experience in Highways Design.

With experience in a design office, working on medium to large scale highway projects, preferably at tender and detailed design stage you will need to have experience in several aspects of design which may include, but not be limited to: highway alignment and junctions, safety barrier, drainage, pavement, traffic signs, lighting design etc.

Familiarity in the application of the Highway Agency’s DMRB and MCDHW documents and proficiency in the use of MX and / or Windes / Microdrainage and AutoCAD are essential.

You will also have a proven ability to supervise other technicians and communicate with colleagues at all levels and other parties.
